Nigel Walker is a filmmaker and writer based in California. His investigative documentary work focuses on conflict, environmental abuse and international development.
Nigel was one of 12 filmmakers selected to work with the Investigative Reporting Program at the Graduate School of Journalism at UC Berkeley in 2017.
His film work has appeared on networks around the world including the BBC, ARTE, Al Jazeera and Canal Plus, amongst others. His multimedia articles have been published in Evotis, a quarterly publication by the UC Davis One Health Institute.
Nigel produced and directed "Shadow Work" a documentary film on conflict in Ivory Coast. His work is currently being used as evidence in a war crimes tribunal at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. Nigel testified in May 2016.
In 2008, he was nominated for the Olivier Quémener Award in Journalism by Reporters Without Borders for his work in West Africa.
