Afghanistan National Organization of the Deaf
ANOD’s mission is to educate all of Afghanistans deaf children. They have two schools in Kabul which were established in 2004. They currently educate 600 deaf children, girls and boys together, from ages 5 through 16. They also train hearing and non hearing teachers to work in the school.
The organization has no presence outside of Afghanistan. The goal in the next year is to establish international presence, through web and social media, to attract institutional donors to fund deaf education programs and to expand private education for hearing and non hearing girls over 12 [6th grade].
COMMUNICATION OBJECTIVES
Create visual identity that reflects the mission of inclusive education.
Present the organization's variety of education programs. [Girls, boys, their parents and teachers].
Establish organization’s stability and resilience despite internal governmental instability.
Establish reliability of organization to disperse funds that have a direct impact on the children. [This year this has included food packets, shoes, clothes and stationary to the poorest of the students].
Raise funds.
ASSETS

CREATIVE
We are starting from a blank slate which gives us the opportunity to be open to all creative ideas and directions.
AUDIENCE
Whilst we have had some success raising funds privately this is not sustainable. We need to engage big institutional donors and education funds. Web and social media will be English language for North American and European audiences.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT
Every child has the right to education. In a truly inclusive setting all children are able to be part of their community, feel safe and develop a sense of belonging. They become better prepared for life.
